How have you shown: Kindness, Resilience, Respect and Thankfulness this week?
This week at Thomas Coram
Sorry to start with a moan, but please may I remind people that in the morning and after school, parents should be exiting through the pedestrian gate that I am on. There should not be adults walking around near the Year 6 block. We started the week with an almighty bang - our Year 6 dress rehearsal - which was incredible! The children had worked so hard to produce such an incredible performance, particularly in the heat that we had on Monday and Tuesday. Their show was amazing and all of the children really did shine and I was so incredibly proud of all of them! Of course, Miss Hill number 2 was a great highlight for me! Maggie nailed the dress sense and glasses technique perfectly! Well done to all of Year 6 and a big thank you to all of the staff for the many hours that go into producing and creating such an incredible show. I really do believe it was the best one yet, so well done to the whole Year 6 team! On Tuesday, we had Nadia in to talk about shyness and how to overcome shyness, which was really lovely to hear. The children listened beautifully and were amazed at how many people actually really did feel shy at times, including us adults! Yesterday, we had our final Rocksteady concert of the year, Daz from Rock Steady, said: "These Year 6 pupils are the epitome of Rock Steady, the way they work together as a team, they have advanced their skills and their own personal development. They have turned into lovely confident young people and I will miss them all terribly". A big well done to everyone in Rocksteady. Year 4, make sure you are rested for next week and I cannot wait for the Year 4 residential on Monday - Wednesday. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
