Oracy  Homework

If you always got something you wished for, would you be happy?

This Week
We have had lots of celebrations for active children this week. Well done to everyone who took part in the Footballathon last weekend and well done to our Year 4 and 5 teams who were winners! A great effort from everyone who participated. Also a huge well done to Nate and Louis G, who participated in the DENS 10 mile walk last weekend! This week the children have been busy taking part in our Oracy week and preparing for the Oracy assembly yesterday. I have heard it was a fantastic showcase of poems and songs so well done Team TC! Not long to go now, which I cannot believe, but next week we will be sending out information regarding next years classes and teachers, so we have an exciting few weeks ahead of us. Next week is predicted to be very hot, so please can I remind you to ensure children have water bottles with them, apply suncream before school (they may also bring in to reapply if they wish), wear sun hats and glasses if they wish and shirts may be untucked next week and they do not have to wear ties. Have a lovely weekend.
Worship
Rebecca from Sunnyside, came in on Monday to lead worship and speak to the children about the story of St Monica and how we can feel worried about things but we can persevere and keep going. On Tuesday, we could hear 'It's Coming Home' from down the corridor and it was lovely to hear the community spirit in singing assembly. We have also had a water safety assembly this week form Picture News about the dangers around water and keeping safe.
