Resilience quote of the week:  “The human capacity for burden is like bamboo- far more flexible than you’d ever believe at first glance.”
― Jodi Picoult
This week at Thomas Coram
It was lovely to see the children so enthusiastic about returning to school on Tuesday and all so eager to get through the gate. I have been outside on duty this week at lunchtimes and it has been excellent to see how well the children play together and how well our TC team get on. Today we were lucky enough to have Andy Griffiths in to talk about his new book, the children loved his chat this afternoon and it is great for us to be able to offer such excellent experiences for the children. Today we also had India's class assembly, which was fabulous, well done to India for putting on such a great show, particularly as they have had different teachers this week! I am looking forward to the busy term ahead and seeing all of what the children do. Have a fabulous weekend.

Miss Hills competition

I have been thinking about introducing indoor and outdoor shoes from September. I would like to ask the children to let me know if they think this is a good idea or bad idea by weighing up the pros and cons. Children can write me a letter, design me a poster or film me a little video with their entry. There will be a surpise treat for the best entry in each class! The closing date is next Friday (2nd May) and winners will be announced on Tuesday 6th May.

Northchurch Social Club
The Centre is a charity at the heart of our community, supporting residents near and far for over 50 years with a space to meet, learn, play and dance, grow, socialise and flourish together - more than just a hall for hire. The centre and its trustees have a desire to support the community further, and the goal of Giving Week is simple: to rally both financial donations and volunteer involvement that will help expand the centre's reach, improve it's facilities, and amplify its positive impact across the community.
