Notices and Reminders

''Always give thanks for everything to God the Father" Ephesians 5.20

This week at Thomas Coram
Wow what a busy week it has been back at TC. We have had our first parents' evenings of the year, which were a real success. It was so lovely to see everyone face to face and for us all to be able to be together in the hall. Thank you to all of our teachers for all of the effort they put into each parents evening appointment and for the late evenings. Year 6 have had a fantastic week completing Bikeability – they have been unlucky with some of the weather but have thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Worship
On Monday, we looked at our value of responsibility and thought about how we can ensure we are responsible with our time and give time back to others.

Reminders
Please ensure children are coming to school in jumpers and coats after half term, the weather has definitely got colder now and I am still seeing children arriving at school with no coat or jumper. Please also remember to label your child’s uniform, even just with a biro name on the label, this will then ensure it is able to be returned to your child.

Christmas lunch
The deadline for ordering a Christmas lunch is 3.25 on Monday 7 November. To order your lunch please click here.

Captains Club payments
Captain's Club payments received via childcare vouchers will be entered onto Arbor at the start of the next calendar month as month-end processes are completed, if not before. Individual payment confirmations will not be emailed due to the volume of payments received each month

Parent Forum
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered for the Parent Forum/Rep vacancies. We do not have any reps in 4AP, 4SW and 5JR. A big thank you to 3EW and 3SB as they now have two reps. If you would be happy to volunteer, please email the office to get signed up. Our first parent forum meeting will be held on Thursday 8th December, I will be in touch next week with the parent reps to discuss how this will operate. If I don’t get any volunteers for the above classes, they will go unrepresented at the meetings.

Book Donations and Wish List
This term we are going to be focusing on ensuring that the books the children have in school are suitable for their age range. If you have any of the books from the Year 3 –6 recommended reading list, that you would be happy to donate to the school, please send them to the office.

We are also going to be creating a wish list of new books for anyone who would like to buy a book for the library or reading corners in the classrooms.

FOTC
The first half term has been a success and we have successfully run our first movie night, doughnut Friday and Scarecrow trail, which have all been a success.  Well done to Sophie S in Y5 for winning the Scarecrow Festival, we hope you enjoy spending your book token. Photographs of the brilliant scarecrows will be sent out next week.
Our fabulous Quiz night is fast approaching on Friday 18th November. Book tickets here https://www.tickettailor.com/events/thefriendsofthomascoramschool1

Any uniform orders will be coming home today.
