Notices and Reminders

"There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother" Proverbs 18.24

We would like to welcome all our pupils back after the Easter holidays. We trust that you all had a chance to relax, reflect and enjoy the company and love of your families and friends over the holiday period.

With the warmer weather arriving at the start of this term, pupils may now wear the optional summer uniform. Further details are available on the school's website. We would also like to remind you of the importance of sending your child in with a water bottle and hat (both named) to enable them to stay hydrated and protected against the sun. Please can we also ask that all school jumpers/cardigans are NAMED so that they can be returned to the children if they leave them outside after break times. We currently have nine unclaimed coats in lost property.

Worship
Friendship is the value we are reflecting on in worship this half term: encouraging and supporting one another; making time for each other and learning to listen to each other.

On Wednesday, the Year 6 Reflective Leaders shared an acrostic poem which described Friendship; we then reflected on what we felt was important to us in our friendships. Two Year 6 children plaited a friendship bracelet to illustrate how the three plaited pieces of ribbon made the bracelet stronger. Plaiting the strands together took time and effort, just like building a strong friendship.

On Friday, Mr Halls joined us for a singing assembly.

Wrap around payment
Details of how to pay for wrap around care will be sent out as soon as possible.

Visitors in school this week
Children in Years 5 and 6 were visited by PSCO Ford and PSCO Brown who spoke to them about appropriate use of social media and mobile phones, and who they can talk to if they have concerns.

On Friday afternoon, two of our new governors, Mrs Hennessey and Mrs Jullien were given a tour of the school by Mrs Cutler.

Stars of the week will be back next week
