Notices and Reminders

"Serve one another in love" Galatians 5.13

We would like to welcome all our pupils back after the Easter holidays. We trust that you all had a chance to relax, reflect and enjoy the company and love of your families and friends over the holidays.

This week, our whole school worships have been led by Olivia, Mrs Cutler and the Year 6 Reflective Leaders. Mrs Cutler introduced our value for this half term: service. We reflected on how we could make a difference by using our talents to serve others. Some suggestions were: cheering others up when they feel down or using our listening skills to become a peer mediator.

Linked to our value of service, the pupils have been busy voting for their new School Council representatives this week, whilst a group of pupils in 3KD have set up a 'Community Savers' group. They are thinking of ways to serve the community and have created posters about walking to school and not littering.

With the warm weather arriving at the start of this term, pupils may now wear the optional summer uniform. Further details are available on the school's website. We would like to remind you of the importance of naming your child(ren)'s uniform and equipment. It is much easier to reunite lost property with its owner when it is named.

Use of the field
The grass has been cut; the markings have been painted.  We are delighted we can start to use the field at break and lunchtimes and that the equipment is also back in use.

Staffing update
We are delighted to share the news that Mrs Griffiths had a baby girl on Tuesday 30 March. Both mother and baby are doing very well.

Parent Consultations
A reminder that the booking window for our parent consultations evenings opens at 7pm on Monday 19 April. Details of the dates and timings, and how to book appointments were sent out earlier this week. Copies of letters can be found on the school website.  https://www.thomascoram.herts.sch.uk/News/Newsletters/

News from DFS
Dacorum Family Services (North & East) is offering support for families in the summer term who have been impacted by or who are struggling with the Covid-19 pandemic. Over the next term, they are offering targeted support covering a variety of topics. Parents can book on to a relevant zoom session for tips, strategies and tools. There are also a limited number of one to one sessions available with the Pupil Support and SEND Specialist workers following attendance at the zoom session if required. The zoom sessions are limited to 10 families per session. The first session is Monday 19 April at 6.30pm (School Attendance & Transitions). Click here for further information.

School lunch payment
Please can you make sure that your child(ren)'s lunch accounts are in credit. If you are experiencing financial difficulties then please contact the school office. The school is not in a position to be able to maintain the current level of debt from school lunches.

Comics for Wraparound care
If anyone has any comics (particularly Beano) they no longer want, our wrap around care would love to have them. Any donations can be dropped at the office for quarantine before going to wrap around. Thank you.

Dogs on site
This is a reminder that dogs are not allowed on site at anytime including when the school day is finished and after school clubs are being run. Thank you.
