Notices and Reminders

'Let us run with perseverance the race that lies before us.' Hebrews 12.1-2

This week, our whole school worships have been led by Mrs Cutler and Father Joe. Our theme this week has been 'running the race of life'. We have been reflecting on how we need to persevere with our goals, how our friends can support us and the sense of achievement we feel when we achieve our goal, even if it has taken a long time to do so. Fr Joe demonstrated great perseverance as he ran from St Peters to Holy Trinity in Potten End during his recorded worship.

Remote Learning
Our children have continued to show resilience and perseverance as they continue to engage with their home learning. The staff have all been very impressed with the work being submitted, and especially the creativity demonstrated by some of the recorded videos. The highlight of each day are the virtual live meets at the start and end of the day, with many furry friends starting to join in too. These meetings are so important for helping the children to stay connected with the school and their friends. Thank you to all parents and carers for your continued support.

Online survey
As part of our Remote Learning offer, we made a commitment to regularly seek parent/carer views during lockdown; we are going to do this once a fortnight. To complete this fortnight's survey, follow this link: Online survey.

This survey will close at the end of Sunday 17 January 2021, after which we welcome individual feedback by email to the school office.

Young Photographer Competition
Our wellbeing is vitally important during this second lockdown. Many of us are continuing to explore the local area through walks. Whilst out, the children might like to take photographs to submit to Berkhamsted Rotary's Young Photographer competition which closes on 31 January. Dates for the diary
One of our infant feeder schools, Swing Gate Infant School & Nursery is hosting two virtual evenings with Steve Biddulph; psychologist, internationally renowned parent educator and author of numerous bestselling books, The Secret of Happy Children, Raising Boys and Raising Girls. The evenings will enable families to watch Steve's world famous talks, Raising Boys and Raising Girls, which were filmed before the virus with a live audience. We have been assured that the seminars are unforgettably moving, funny and practical!

The first event, Raising Boys, will take place on Thursday 25 February 2021 and the second event, Raising Girls, will take place on Thursday 4 March 2021.  Please click below for further information.
