Notices and Reminders
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4.13
We would like to start by sending you our best wishes for 2021. We trust that you all had a chance to relax and enjoy the company and love of your families (where possible) over the Christmas holiday period.
The start of the Spring term has brought new challenges to our school community with a switch to remote learning. Staff, parents and pupils have all shown great fortitude in the challenges the lock down has presented. Over 40 key worker and vulnerable children continue to attend school. Like those children learning from home, they are in daily contact with their class teacher through our Microsoft Teams learning platform.
We made a commitment to surveying parents regularly about how things were going and offer you a chance to provide feedback for us to review/adapt our provision. The first one of these regular, short surveys will be sent towards the end of next week.
This week our whole school worships have been led by Father Stuart, Mr Halls and Mrs Cutler. Our value for this half term is Perseverance and we have explored what perseverance means and how it is important to persevere even when we find things difficult. Different versions of the story of the magi were used to explore how the wise men needed determination and perseverance to follow the star for many miles, and how we are all on our journey with our own gifts looking for our own light.
Acts of Kindness
It is lovely to hear of acts of kindness during these difficult times. Back in October, Noah started to raise money for the school by listing books in good condition on eBay. Thank you to all of you who sent books in; over 80 books have been sold and he has raised an additional £74 in the last 48hours. A big well done to Freya and Phoebe who made Christmas Cards and sold them to raise funds for Dreams Come True, raising an amazing £110. Please let Mrs Cutler know of any similar acts of kindness or achievements so that these can be shared with our school family.
Stars of the week
To all staff at TC - for their perseverance and fortitude in getting ready for our new way of T&L, especially Mr Halls who has been helping out teachers and parents with any technical difficulties.
To all parents and carers - who have been so supportive of their children and the school with the remote learning.
To all the pupils in every class - for their engagement with our new way of learning. We do not know how long we will be learning this way but keep persevering.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Katy and Marley, and Mrs Ewing who all celebrated their birthday during the past week.
