Friday 18 December
Notices and Reminders
'"No one who gossips can be trusted with a secret, but you can put confidence in someone who is trustworthy." Proverbs 11:13
This week we have come to the end of our value of Trust, with our theme for the week being "Trusting God". Our whole school worship on Monday was led by Mrs Cutler and the Year 6 Reflective leaders. We thought carefully about the words of the Lord's Prayer. We then watched a clip of the Lord's Prayer being signed in Makaton as the whole school is learning to sign.
On Wednesday, Olivia led our worship from a Year 6 classroom and retold the nativity story using letters of the alphabet. She challenged the children to use their hands and arms to make each letter of the alphabet as it was mentioned. The week concluded with a recorded end of term service, led by Fr Stuart, Fr Joe and Olivia, with contributions from the children.
Our celebrations in school this week have included making Christmas themed stained glass windows; making Christmas cards and hats; designing festive jumpers and of course, our Christmas lunch followed by an on-line Christmas panto.
In our final whole school worship this week, this term's final House Points were announced. Congratulations to all our pupils who have earned 9,344 house points this term. However, the winning House with 2,540 points was Pankhurst. Well done to all members of that House.
Pencil case restock
Over the holiday break, we would ask parents and carers to take this opportunity to restock the child(ren)'s pencil cases. Pupils only need 1 pencil case (preferably clear) containing some named, basic equipment: pencils (at least one to be 2H), a 30cm ruler, a pencil sharpener, a pair of scissors (small pair with rounded ends), a set of coloured pencils and a glue stick.
