Newsletter 13 Friday 11 December
Notices and Reminders
'"No one who gossips can be trusted with a secret, but you can put confidence in someone who is trustworthy." Proverbs 11:13
This week we have been continuing to reflect on the value of Trust, with our theme 'Being trustworthy, not gossiping.' Our whole school worship on Monday was led by Mrs Cutler and the Year 6 Reflective leaders, who performed a role play which made us think about how we can be trustworthy friends.
On Wednesday, Olivia led our worship from a Year 6 classroom and challenged a pupil to get some squeezed toothpaste back into its tube. This was a useful reminder that once unkind works are out of our mouths, we can't put them back in. 3SB concluded the week with their class worship. They reminded us that like Chinese whispers, passing on gossip can become distorted and hurt other people. However, important information, like how to stay safe, is acceptable to pass onto others.
This Friday, all the children participated in a Santa Dash (daily mile) around the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and Upper Key Stage 2 playground as part the School Games National Santa dash.
Congratulations to Aksel, Kai and Poppy W who are the first to gain their Platinum Head Teacher Award by earning 50 house points. Next week, the winners of the House Cup for this term will be announced.
End of term arrangements
Mrs Cutler sent out a letter this week with the end of term arrangements; unfortunately, this term parents and carers are not able to view lost property. However, with the measures that are currently in place, including coming into school in PE kit, there has been a noticeable reduction in the amount lost. If any named uniform is found on site, it will be returned to your child(ren).

Hands, Face, Space
With one week to go please can we ask all parents to continue wearing a face mask at drop off and pick up, to leave the area promptly when your child goes in/comes out of school and to maintain social distance at all times. We would also ask that you wear your mask until well away from the school premises.
A key was found on Velvet Lawn earlier this week. Please contact the office if you think it could belong to you.
