Newsletter 10 Friday 20 November
Notices and Reminders
"Two people are better than one... If one person falls, the other can reach out to help." Ecclesiastes 4.9 - 10
Our value for the next five weeks is Trust. This week we have been reflecting on knowing that our friends will support us. Mrs Cutler and the Year 6 Reflective Leaders introduced our new value during Monday worship with a poem and a demonstration of how friends can support each other. Fr Joe led worship on Wednesday using the story of Jesus healing the paralysed man to illustrate how the man's friends helped and supported him and how the man had to trust his friends. 4RP concluded our weekly worship on Friday by thinking about friendship and how we need to trust our friends. They included examples from well-known stories, including the trusting relationship between Sophie and the BFG.
Kindness and Anti Bullying Week
This week has been Kindness and Anti Bullying Week. On Monday both pupils and staff celebrated our differences by wearing odd socks. We have all made pledges about how we are going to be united in supporting one another and standing up to bullying behaviour. The children have started to paint and decorate their pebbles; photographs of their completed stones will be shared via our social media accounts.
Thank you to all parents and carers who continue to follow the government's guidance (where distancing is difficult) by wearing a face covering at drop off and collection. As we have different bubbles arriving and leaving over a 25 minute period, please can we ask parents and carers not to remove your face covering until you have left the vicinity of the school.
Libraries are open for Ready Reads
We all know how important it is for children to have access to books. Despite the current lockdown situation, Hertfordshire libraries are offering a new way to borrow books, Ready Reads - we select you collect! Families can order books for their children and themselves using the online form and then collect them from a selected library. If you do not have access to on online services please call 0300 123 4049.
Please ensure your children are in credit on Wisepay if they are having school lunches. Thank you.
